Welcome back! It's good to see you again. Please note that I am now publishing all new material at my hub site: In Context Blog

I just need to get this off my chest.

Whenever I see something like this, I am reminded of this. And THAT is something I do not want to ever see.

I must have ruffled your feathers…you posted your comment in the section for people who agree with me. ;)

If you’d like to copy and repost your message, and choose the side for people who disagree I’d be happy to delete your first post.

And…You being bald doesn’t bother me. You can walk by me without causing my hair to fall out. Unlike smokers, whose choice does cause my lungs to fill with pollutants. Just sayin’

Thanks for joining in the debate :)

I have to agree that the best and the brightest are often dragged down to mediocrity in the American school system. It is a requirement to teaching to the “middle” the bell curve, where supposedly everyone is.

As far as smokers go, well, I smoke, (am going to quit soon, probably this week!) and I understand how non smokers feel. Once, also being a non smoker a few times. But I will have to go and read Christine’s comments to see where all the hot air is coming from.

  3. Ellen Wilson Says:

Oh yeah, A LOT of hot air going on over there. Smoking is digusting, for sure, and I would never smoke around anyone who found it offensive. I smoke outside of the house, and not around anyone in my family.

But really, I would rather argue about why we have stupid wars that need to stopped right now. Or is that out of our control?

The more people who talk about it, the more we may be able to change it.

I’ll let you know when I quit smoking.

  4. @Stephen Says:

    >>Christene - You do your thing, I’ll do mine.

    >>Ellen - Only quit if you want to.

Freedom isn’t free folks, and compromise is the essence of the social contract.

Start taking things away from people unfairly and, well, you get things like this.
