Engagement for Greater Productivity

February 4th, 2008 by Stephen

Welcome back! It's good to see you again. Please note that I am now publishing all new material at my hub site: In Context Blog

David Zinger, one of the writers at SlackerManager.com and a leading expert on employee engagement and strength-based leadership, has put together a network for leaders looking to engage their employees. The mission:

We all know that employee engagement is gathering momentum and geometric growth as a lens to examine and enhance work. Our network is designed to provide perspectives, information, opinion, resources, ideas, and connected conversation on employee engagement.

You might be someone offering employee engagement services or you might be someone seeking a speaker or employee engagement resources.

Ideal network participants (and why join a network unless you participate) will include writers, speakers, leaders, consultants, managers, Human Resources professionals, and individuals. Your sole focus may be employee engagement or employee engagement may be a significant part of your work.

This new effort is very exciting to me as I will soon be beginning a new venture of my own (more on that later).  There are some interesting discussions and I am looking forward to some intense “networking” next month. I encourage you all to check it out, and perhaps to get involved.

This is interesting to me - employee engagement. In 2000 I had an opportunity to pilot a discussion group in the corporate world engaging employees to share using a talking stick sitting in a circle. Management and their employees participated with the agreement that you check your titles at the door and come as humans to benefit from each other’s wisdom.

I like your blog. Thank you for stopping by and visiting on StumbleUpon. I’ve added you as a friend.

Thanks for reading! I am looking forward to getting involved, I just got some great news this morning, so Employee Engagement is going to be one of my watch-words for the next few months.
