It may be that December comes around and people get reflective, or it may simply be a case of serendipity. I have come across a handful of thoughtful posts on fear and doubt that I wanted to share with you. Read these posts (and subscribe to the blogs if you haven’t already!), then please come back and share your own thoughts on conquering your fears.
First, Tina has a must-read at Think Simple Now on how to get past those thoughts of self-doubt.
6 Steps to Deflate Self-Defeating Fears | ThinkSimpleNow.com
I genuinely believe that we often compromise our goals through a limiting, self-imposed, mindset and a fear of failure. Mindset is everything. We may not be able to control the thoughts our mind throws at us, but we can choose to remain conscious and observe these thoughts rather than instantly reacting to them. It is so easy to get caught up in the artifacts of our own mind. Our mind’s job is to keep us the same, and thus to instill fear in us to pursue goals outside our comfort zone. This is natural and instinctual. We all experience it. But for anyone who’s achieved what they really wanted, they’ve learned to move beyond it. To act in spite of the fear.
Go read the whole thing. Thanks Tina!
Next, Liz has a piece on the most powerful force in the universe:
Living in Love, Abundance, and Strength
- When I respond with love, people sense I’m fully present. By definition, all of my potential is focused on the moment and the people I see. If a friend has offered help, I can answer with gratitude and partnership, believing in the good intentions that fuel the gift. Life is about enjoying the people I’m with and what we’re doing.
- When I respond from abundance, I can enjoy every success I see, because I know that the universe has plenty for everyone. I can give what I know, because I know more will come back to me. If a friend gets a windfall, I can celebrate, knowing that my turn is still available, and my time will come. Life is about sharing good things with everyone.
You should take a look at it. Thank you Liz!
Next, Alex suggests that you never worry again:
People tend to worry mainly about their money, health, and relationships. This seems to be a common trend among us. Some situations we can control (or at least think we can), while others we clearly cannot control. If we do our part, think thoughts conducive to happiness, and take actions along the same path, then we will not have anything to worry about. No, worrying is NOT productive in problem solving, overcoming an obstacle, or otherwise a contributing factor to living a happy life.
More great advice. Thanks, Alex!
Now it’s your turn, dear readers. Do you have any tips for overcoming your fear and trepidation?

Leave it to Liz to hit the ball out of the park. Isn’t it amazing how several bloggers seem to be in synchronicity on any given day? Love this.
