Check out my new Commonplace book, where I keep notes and quotes and other useful information:

    Commonplace Book

It has a soft leather wrap-around cover with ties, and inside the cover are two slots for a pen and a pencil.

    Commonplace Book

The notebook inside is 192 pages, smythe-sewn in 8-sheet signatures. The paper is lined, 20 per page, and very smooth. My Pilot G2 Extra Fine takes to it like a duck to water.

The first three pages have been set aside for the Index, and the rest are numbered. This particular page contains a quote from the end of one of my favorite poems, “The Gods of the Copybook Headings“, by Rudyard Kipling. I am really looking forward to filling these pages.

      Oh Commonplace Book!

Yes, I picked it up at Barnes & Noble, not expensive, and it uses the No. 3 size refills, so it should last a good long time.

I have the same, in black. Seemed very alluring and a touch of the old-fashioned diary, but the straps drove me nuts after a bit - always coming untied. Still love it tho, just don’t carry it around.

That looks really great! Where did you get it, or did you make it yourself? I’ve been looking to get my own commonplace book, they same like a great tool for writers, but I don’t know where to get ahold of one!

    8. @Stephen Says:

Hi Max, I picked this up at Barnes & Noble, a US bookstore chain. You can likely get it online if there is no store near you.
